The Border Security Force (BSF) of India and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) concluded their 57th director general-level border coordination conference in New Delhi, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining peace and stability along the shared border. The four-day meeting, held from June 8 to June 11, focused on enhancing cooperation to combat trans-border crimes.
Discussions covered measures to prevent the smuggling of narcotics, arms, gold, counterfeit currency, as well as illegal border crossings and human trafficking. Both delegations agreed to strengthen coordinated patrols, improve real-time intelligence sharing, and intensify joint efforts against criminal networks. They also addressed issues related to border deaths and the construction of border infrastructure.
The BSF stated that the conference was conducted in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the mutual trust between the forces. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the outcome and committed to further strengthening their cooperation and professional engagement to ensure peaceful borders.
