Crypto exchange HTX has agreed to cease unlawful promotions in the United Kingdom until October 21, 2031, as part of a settlement with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The exchange, previously known as Huobi, has already stopped accepting deposits from UK customers and blocked new account registrations in the country. Huobi Global S.A., the entity operating HTX, made a commitment to the High Court to avoid illegal marketing activities. The FCA initiated its case in October 2025, announcing it in February as its first enforcement action against a crypto firm for illegal marketing. The settlement, dated October 16 and recorded in a court order on Tuesday, does not involve an admission of liability by Huobi Global. This agreement follows previous sanctions imposed on HTX by the UK and the EU.
