Pansy Ho Chiu-king, daughter of the late Macau casino magnate Stanley Ho Hung-sun, has successfully obtained a permanent injunction against a woman accused of repeated harassment and intimidation. The High Court handed down a judgment on Wednesday, ordering the defendant, Steffi Chen Pan-yu, to pay Ho HK$1.8 million (US$229,000) in damages.
According to court documents, Chen had engaged in persistent harassment through emails and hand-delivered letters containing false allegations against Ho and her companies. The court order restrains Chen from approaching or contacting Ho, and from publishing any defamatory or derogatory statements about her. Chen was also previously struck off by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in 2018, having worked as a corporate finance representative and licensed securities adviser representative at CCB International Securities Limited between 2015 and 2018.
