Grayscale Investments has completed its quarterly rebalancing of the CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF (GDLC), adjusting the allocations of its underlying digital assets. The crypto asset manager increased the weightings of XRP, Solana (SOL), and Bitcoin (BTC) within the fund, while slightly reducing Ethereum's (ETH) share. BNB's allocation remained stable.
This rebalancing follows the methodology set by the CoinDesk 5 Index, which determined that these five digital assets continue to meet the inclusion criteria for the large-cap fund. No new tokens were added or removed from the ETF during this process; rather, existing components were adjusted to reflect their new weightings.
In the GDLC ETF, the new portfolio composition is 75.54% Bitcoin, 13.30% Ethereum, 4.64% BNB, 3.98% XRP, and 2.54% Solana. Previously, the allocations were 75.53% BTC, 13.43% ETH, 4.64% BNB, 3.88% XRP, and 2.52% SOL.
Separately, Grayscale's XRP Trust ETF (GXRP) has sold over $180 million worth of XRP. This significant divestment occurred amidst a downturn in XRP's price, leading to a substantial depreciation in the trust's net asset value. The trust incurred realized losses of $34.16 million on these XRP sales, which were primarily used to facilitate investor redemptions. The trust's XRP holdings decreased from 122.23 million to 55.04 million XRP between the end of 2025 and June 30, 2026, with outstanding shares falling from 6.30 million to 2.84 million.
