A drone struck a logistics center belonging to Russian online retailer Ozon in the Adygea Republic overnight on November 4, the company said in a press release. Ozon said it immediately evacuated all employees and that no one had been injured so far. A fire broke out and emergency services were on the scene, the company said.
Products stored in the damaged warehouse were removed from Ozon's online store, and orders that can no longer be fulfilled will be canceled, the company said. Murat Kumpilov, head of the Adygea Republic, had not commented on the attack, and the Kyiv Independent said the details could not be immediately verified.
The Kyiv Independent reported that Ozon and its competitor Wildberries have been targeted by Ukrainian forces in recent months, and that their broader ecosystems account for about 8.5% of Russia's GDP. The report also said Ukraine regularly strikes military targets deep within Russia and occupied territories.
The same report said Ukraine's military launched attacks on several facilities within Russia linked to Moscow's military-industrial complex overnight on October 28, according to Russian Telegram media channels. It said explosions sounded and fires burned in Lipetsk late on October 27, per the Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova Plus, and that the Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk in Tula Oblast caught fire later that night after a reported Ukrainian attack.
