DoubleZero has added real-time data from Kalshi's election and politics markets to its DoubleZero Edge platform, aiming to facilitate institutional and automated trading ahead of the US midterm elections.
The integration provides institutional traders with direct access to real-time data from political prediction markets, potentially increasing liquidity and sophistication in these markets as election outcomes become a focus for financial analysis.
DoubleZero, a high-speed data distribution network, has integrated real-time data from Kalshi's election and politics markets, a move designed to cater to institutional and automated traders as activity in political prediction markets grows ahead of the US midterm elections in November.
The expansion adds Kalshi's election contracts to DoubleZero Edge, which already provides data for the prediction market's sports contracts and crypto perpetual futures. The newly added feed includes top-of-book and trade data, as well as aggregated order book data specifically from Kalshi's election markets.
Andy Ross, head of institutional at Kalshi, stated that the integration is intended to streamline the process for institutional clients to incorporate political market data into their workflows, especially as market expectations around election outcomes evolve.
Data from the Anti-Corruption Data Collective indicates that betting on the 2026 US midterms had reached $133 million as of August 10. This figure surpasses the $92.4 million wagered throughout the entire 2024 congressional election cycle. Currently, a Kalshi market focused on which party will win control of the US House of Representatives has recorded over $35 million in trading volume, with Democratic victory odds standing at 84%.
