Boeing IT outage disrupts production, deliveries

Boeing confirmed on Tuesday that a widespread IT outage affected some of its computer systems and applications, significantly disrupting its commercial and military production. The disruption occurred on the final day of the quarter, a critical period for aircraft deliveries, leading to a halt in final commercial jet inspections and paperwork, though some deliveries were still completed.

Sources familiar with the issues reported that factories from Washington to Florida were impacted. Boeing stated that the cause of the outage is understood and that there is no reason to believe it is due to a cyberattack. The company's IT team is actively working to restore all systems.
