The directive, effective September 10, applies to 471 planes across the 737-8, 737-9, and 737-8200 models. While no cracks have been found in these specific Max models, the FAA noted the issue is similar to cracks previously reported in a forward bear strap component on older "Next-Generation" 737 planes.
