Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis announced on Friday that it had been the target of a cybersecurity incident, similar to recent attacks on other platforms. While the company stated that there was no evidence of unauthorized access to investigation content, authentication credentials, or session tokens, some non-sensitive customer data was exposed. Chainalysis has enlisted third-party cybersecurity experts and is utilizing large language models to conduct a review and enhance its defenses. The firm clarified that this incident is separate from the recent crypto theft at Binance. Chainalysis had previously reported that suspected North Korea-linked hacks accounted for nearly 89% of reported crypto hack losses this year, a significant increase from 15% in 2021.
