Beehiiv adds subscriber chat, AI Copilot to bolster creator platform

The company stated that publishers on its platform collectively earn over $1 million monthly through its ad network.

The new AI Copilot is designed to assist creators by analyzing content, audience, and performance data to provide advice on newsletter management and audience growth. It can also help draft outreach campaigns and identify new revenue streams. This AI initiative follows earlier efforts, including a model context protocol server that allows integration with external AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude, and work on improving Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).

These updates are part of Beehiiv's broader strategy to offer a full suite of tools for creators, which has recently included podcasts, webinars, and customizable paywalls. The company also unveiled a redesigned editor that offers a side-by-side view of editing and preview modes. Beehiiv plans to focus on educating its users about these new tools in the upcoming quarter.
