Adani Group, Embraer Finalize Dholera for Regional Jet Assembly Line

Embraer, which established an office in New Delhi in October of the previous year, is focusing on the Indian market for both civilian and defense aircraft opportunities. The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding in January, is intended to establish an assembly line with a phased increase in indigenization.

Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO Arjan Meijer indicated that the establishment of the assembly line is contingent on securing parallel airline orders, noting that India presents a significant market with immense potential despite its complexities. Currently, Embraer has approximately 50 aircraft operating in India, serving various sectors including the Indian Air Force, government agencies, business jet operators, and the commercial airline Star Air. Embraer's E-Jets commenced operations in India in 2005.
