This decision follows a previous extension granted on May 29, 2026, due to technical issues faced by many in submitting their proposals. The commission is actively engaging with various groups across different states to gather comprehensive input on pay, pensions, allowances, and working conditions. Upcoming meetings are scheduled in Lucknow from June 22-23, followed by sessions in Bhubaneswar on July 6-7 and Kolkata on July 9-10. Earlier this month, the commission also held discussions with stakeholders from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The 8th Pay Commission is currently in the process of preparing its report based on these consultations.
