Angola's economy demonstrated robust growth in the first quarter, with Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rising 5.3% year-on-year. This expansion was supported by a significant increase in the non-oil sector, which grew by 6.2% year-on-year, and a notable easing of the contraction in the oil sector to just 0.2% year-on-year. On a quarterly basis, seasonally adjusted GDP saw a 1.4% increase, following a 2.1% rise in the fourth quarter. Key sectors contributing to this growth included transport, information and communication, and manufacturing.
