The United States ramped up pressure on Iran, with President Donald Trump threatening more strikes and the Treasury Department imposing new sanctions on 11 individuals and entities for allegedly supporting Iran's weapons procurement. Nine of the designated parties are based in China and Hong Kong, with others in Iran and Belarus. These measures follow earlier sanctions by the Trump administration targeting China-linked entities. The U.S. Central Command also reported firing at an oil tanker attempting to transport oil from Iran.
