Her sons announced her peaceful passing on Friday morning at Prince of Wales Hospital, stating she was surrounded by family after an illness. Chan, a former TVB actress, was the wife of the late actor Liu Kai-chi, who also died at the same hospital.
Chan and Liu were well-known figures in Hong Kong entertainment, having starred in numerous TVB dramas. Liu Kai-chi, an award-winning actor, passed away in March 2021 at the age of 66 after a battle with stomach cancer. Their youngest son had previously died in 2006 following a leukemia diagnosis.
