Yum China Holdings Inc., the operator of KFC and Pizza Hut in China, is accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence and robotics across its supply chain. Speaking at the China International Supply Chain Expo, Zhang Lekai, Yum China’s senior director of supply chain, stated that the company has deployed automated guided vehicles equipped with intelligent algorithms in its cold storage facilities. These robots deliver goods directly to human workers, reducing the time employees spend in freezing environments and improving overall operational efficiency.
