Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 39 development projects worth over Rs 955 crore at Maharaja Suhel Dev University in Azamgarh. These projects are intended to enhance infrastructure and foster regional economic growth.
Speaking at the event, Adityanath remarked on the transformation of Azamgarh, noting its previous struggles for identity before 2017, a period before the BJP government came to power in Uttar Pradesh. He mentioned the absence of a university and the underutilization of the airport in the past, contrasting it with current developments like the Purvanchal Expressway and recognition for local crafts such as Mubarakpur's black pottery.
