Raskin seeks Trump health records, questions doctor's assessment

Raskin stated that given Trump's age and "unexplained signs of illness," the American people deserve answers about his fitness for office. He requested a comprehensive list of medications Trump takes and the names of all medical providers involved in the May exam. Additionally, Raskin asked Barbabella to appear at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Trump's health by July 2.

This is not the first time Raskin has raised concerns about Trump's health. In April, he called for a full evaluation of the president's cognitive abilities, citing comments made about the Iran war. Following Trump's May physical, Dr. Jonathan Reiner, former Vice President Dick Cheney's cardiologist, expressed concern about swelling on Trump's ankles and bruising on his hands. Barbabella attributed the swelling to chronic venous insufficiency and the bruising to aspirin use and frequent handshaking. Reiner also questioned the use of a CT scan, which Barbabella stated was to rule out cardiovascular issues.

In response to Raskin's request, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle dismissed the inquiry, calling Raskin a "stupid person's idea of a smart person" and accusing Democrats of covering up Joe Biden's "mental and physical decline" during the previous administration.
