Police arrest suspect in Ohio festival shooting that wounded 12

Authorities believe a fight between rival groups escalated into two individuals shooting at each other, though neither was among the wounded. According to a criminal complaint, video evidence shows Crisp-Carr participating in the fight, turning and firing indiscriminately into the crowd after another man began shooting. Detectives used witness statements, social media, and law enforcement photos to identify Crisp-Carr.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a second suspect, Ka Nye Taylor, but he has not yet been apprehended. The festival, held in a historic district known for its Victorian homes, was canceled for its second day following the violence. The victims ranged in age from teenagers to individuals in their 60s. Chief of Fire and Rescue Allison Armstrong commended the swift actions of officers and bystanders who provided immediate aid, including applying tourniquets and comforting the injured.
