Twelve people were injured, two critically, in a shooting that occurred near Toledo's Old West End Festival on Saturday evening. Police were called to the scene around 5:37 p.m. near Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found multiple victims with gunshot wounds. Many of the injured have been transported to local medical facilities for treatment. Deputy Chief Joseph Heffernan stated that investigators believe the shooting involved at least two gunmen, possibly shooting at each other. Authorities are actively searching for the suspects involved. Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz urged residents to remain united and praised first responders, stating that while such events are sadly common in American cities, they should not be accepted. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine expressed deep concern and confidence in law enforcement's ability to apprehend the suspects.
