An Indiana man, Kevin Singh, 48, has been charged with stalking WNBA player Sophie Cunningham and sending her threatening and explicit messages on social media. The charges include felony stalking and intimidation, along with a misdemeanor harassment charge. Cunningham, a player for the Indiana Fever, told investigators that Singh's messages caused her to stay home more and experience nightmares.
Singh's alleged online conduct began in February and escalated after team security contacted him. According to an affidavit, he sent numerous messages, including explicit ones, on X in April, with one stating, "You’re literally down the street from me!" Following a cease-and-desist letter from Cunningham's team on April 30, Singh reportedly sent further threatening messages.
In September 2025, Singh allegedly hand-delivered a package addressed to "Sophie" at the Indiana Fever's home stadium. The package contained a letter and a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt sprayed with men's cologne. Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears stated that threats of violence will be taken seriously and commended the victim for speaking out.
Singh is currently on probation in Hendricks County, Indiana, after pleading guilty in July 2025 to two felony counts of invasion of privacy. The incident follows a similar case involving WNBA star Caitlin Clark, who was stalked by a different individual from Texas.
