Himanshu Jangra apologizes for 'Rs 370 ki biryani' row, says story was improvised

The controversy led to Jangra losing his job and caused distress to his family, with relatives and neighbors informing his parents before he could explain. Jangra expressed regret over his participation, emphasizing his acceptance of responsibility.

Comedian Pranit More also issued an apology, admitting he should have intervened when Jangra made offensive remarks and accepting responsibility for giving the comments a public platform.

Maharashtra Cyber has registered an FIR against Jangra, More, MBBS student Sejal Pawar, and others under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act for allegedly publishing and circulating obscene and objectionable content. KEM Hospital has placed Pawar on 15 days of forced leave pending a detailed investigation into another viral clip from the same event.

Earlier, Devendra Fadnavis commented that while freedom of expression is important, it must be exercised responsibly and not at the cost of another person's dignity.
