‘Virtue signalling’: Sydney council votes to remove Aboriginal flag

An inner-west Sydney council has voted to remove the Aboriginal flag from outside its chambers. Strathfield Council's controversial call coincides with increasing interventions into cultural war debates, after a recent push to force local shopfronts to display English signage. Strathfield Liberal Councillor John-Paul Baladi claims, “Virtue signalling should stay out of our government.”
