Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney says cost of living will remain the primary determinant of midterm votes while admitting AI is “a really serious issue”. “If they believe that data centres, for example, will drive up the cost of electricity … that could impact their voting,” he told News24. “Is AI a big deal? Yes, it is. “Is it going to change the outcome of an election? I don’t think so.”
