News24 host Paul Murray says the workforce is being underutilised because “it's too expensive” to employ full-time workers as unemployment rate hits a post-COVID peak of 4.5 per cent. “Almost a million people who, as we’ve shown you before, are underemployed,” Mr Murray said. “There's about half of all people working part-time or casual who want to go full time. “It’s expensive. It's expensive to do everything from filling your car, oh that’s right 52 cents a litre tax.”
