‘What he should have said a month ago’: Albanese finally admits podcast was a mistake

News24 host Paul Murray says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has finally conceded he made the wrong call appearing on the controversial podcast after weeks of defending the decision. “Prime Minister finally recognises that perhaps going on the podcast where there wasn’t just the shoot, shag, marry question but then the melon gate business … but he’s finally said probably not the right thing to do,” Mr Murray said. “Remember all of this was not arranged by his press office but under DM between comedian and prime minister; what an insight into how you can actually get access to the block if your profile pic looks a certain way. “He’s held the line for a month, now he’s said what he should have said a month ago.”
