The Australian Columnist Tom Switzer says the shocking drone attack on a civilian reflects both Russia and Ukraine's determination to inflict maximum pressure as the war intensifies. “Both sides are playing hardball to inflict maximum damage on each other so that they relent,” Mr Switzer told News24 host Chris Kenny. “The reality is that Russia will continue to play hardball because they will want to ensure that Ukraine does not become a Western bulwark on its borders. “As for the Ukrainians, they are fighting for dear life; they want their 20 per cent of their border back.”
