News24 host Sharri Markson highlights criticism after Jewish leader David Ossip was questioned by pro-Palestinian groups over Israel’s actions during the antisemitism royal commission. “There are calls for Commissioner Virginia Bell to apologise after she allowed pro-Palestinian groups to interrogate a Jewish leader at the antisemitism royal commission,” Ms Markson said. “Today, she launched an extraordinary defence of her decision to give Palestinian groups leave to cross-examine David Ossip, for an hour, about the actions of Israel. “These were some of those outrageous questions that Ossip was forced to sit there and field. “So how could Virginia Bell possibly defend this when the NSW Premier could see it was wrong, when James Paterson could see it was wrong, when anyone with commonsense could see it was cruel to ask Ossip, an Australian, to account for alleged actions of Israel.”
