Strait of Hormuz still effectively shut despite US minesweeping efforts

​The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says the Strait of Hormuz is still effectively shut despite minesweeping efforts from the US. ​“That does not make the Strait of Hormuz safe,” Mr Sheridan told News24 host James Macpherson. ​“The Iranians can still fire on ships which pass through, so very, very few ships are making that effort.”
