Religion should be openly discussed in the wake of heated Oxford debate on Islam

Waverley Councillor Michelle Stephenson comments on whether religion can be satirised in the wake of the recent Oxford debate on whether the West should be suspicious of Islam. “Too many people are silenced when it comes to having conversations about religion, Islam in particular,” she said. “We should be allowed to say and do what we want. “If you choose to be offended, that is your choice.”
