New poll shows two-thirds of Victorians are choosing to heat or eat

Affordable Energy Australia spokeswoman Zoe Hilton says “two-thirds” of Victorians are being forced to take “energy hardship actions” because energy bills keep climbing. “Two-thirds are having to take one of these energy hardship actions or more,” Ms Hilton said. “Like reducing their heating, using less hot water, having to cut back on groceries and essentials. They're having to delay their bills, pay them late. “The reason is energy bills are just too high, and people can’t make ends meet. When you have energy cost too much, then you can’t have industry that can sustain our country.”
