‘Most concerning statistic in our GDP’: Canavan expresses concern over productivity

Nationals Leader Matt Canavan says productivity being down is the “most concerning statistic in our GDP”. “The most concerning statistic in our GDP numbers for some years now has been productivity,” Mr Canavan told News24 host Sharri Markson. “It’s so important, it’s at the heart of the reason why inflation has ticked up in Australia. “It’s why interest rates have to go up to tackle that inflation.”
