AI is ‘better than Google’: Rebuke over Mamdani AI ban

News24 host Danica De Giorgio says AI is a “wonderful tool” and is “better than Google” amid New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani banning it for students up to 8th grade. “His list of priorities: he’s banning AI in schools, yet in New York City law, a child can change their gender on their birth certificate … with the tick of approval by a guardian,” Ms De Giorgio said. “I think that AI is a really wonderful tool. “I think it’s a great research tool; I believe it's far better than Google.”
