Low munitions stockpile fuels Trump’s 'desperate' search for an Iran off-ramp

​The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says America’s reported low munitions stockpile is fuelling US President Donald Trump’s “desperate” search for an off-ramp out of the Iran conflict. ​“The United States is a global superpower; it’s fighting a war with a middleweight at best, Iran, and it has just about exhausted its high-tech munitions,” Mr Sheridan told News24 host James Macpherson. ​“It shouldn’t have started the war if that was going to happen.”
