​The Australian columnist Tom Switzer says Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords is still very unlikely. ​“I think the key point for Saudi Arabia is that Israel recognises a two-state solution and we’re a long way off from that,” Mr Switzer told News24 host Chris Kenny. ​“The point is very clear: a lot of these Sunni Gulf states they’ve been hit hard by Iran’s ballistic missiles during the last six months, but their opposition to Tehran is as intense as ever. ​“So they are in cahoots, if you like, with the Americans to go to great lengths to make sure that Iran does not extend its sphere of influence in the Persian Gulf."
