News24 host Paul Murray says Labor wanted to “spend even more” through COVID as the opposition, amid Australia surpassing $1 trillion in debt. “There was that small thing, the global pandemic. Which of course added hundreds of billions of dollars to the debt which yes got us on the way towards a trillion,” Mr Murray said. “Remember the Labor party as the opposition wanted to spend even more. They wanted us to use billions of dollars to buy a freaking airline.”
