Shadow Communications Minister Sarah Henderson says claims Labor’s ‘Digital Duty of Care’ “undermines” Australia’s democracy. “All we know is that this government has got an insidious agenda to shut down any view with which it does not agree,” Ms Henderson told News24 host Peta Credlin. “That is very clear because the minister has given herself the broadest, unfettered powers to shut down any sort of category of harm as she sees fit without parliamentary oversight. “This is one of the worst things that I think we’ve ever seen come before the parliament in terms of undermining our democracy. “The attack on news media is shocking. “We will fight this every step of the way, and we are asking all Australians to get behind our campaign.”
