Insurance Council of Australia CEO Andrew Hall discusses data revealing Victoria is the crime capital for car theft in the country, where “10,000” cars were stolen from Melbourne in the last financial year. “The worst thing about it is that organised crime clearly has worked out that Melbourne is a soft target,” Mr Hall told News24 host Peta Credlin. “Out of the 12,500 cars stolen in Victoria in the last financial year, 10,000 were stolen from Melbourne.”
