US Vice President JD Vance has revealed President Donald Trump’s decision not to attend the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attack memorial. Trump’s absence will make him the only living or former president not to attend the memorial service at Ground Zero, with former US Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama, George Bush and Bill Clinton all attending. During a Thursday press conference, Vance downplayed reports that Trump’s absence was due to security concerns. Vance cited the president and vice president’s busy schedules for the absence but said that Trump would attend the memorial service at the Pentagon.
