News24 contributor Kosha Gada discusses criticism of the 20-year-old co-pilot involved in the Florida plane crash, arguing that flying smaller aircraft at that age is not unusual for pilots building experience. “We know about DEI and everything that it's done in general, especially as it relates to life and death professions, like surgery, being a pilot, and other things of that nature,” Ms Gada told News24 host Rita Panahi. “What expert pilots are saying is from the little bit that I've read into this is it's actually not uncommon for somebody at 20 to fly these types of planes. “They have to get their hours in before they qualify to work for a big commercial airliner, which was her career goal. “It makes sense, even though she is female and sounds young.”
