Israel’s military has confirmed it shot at a car carrying five-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab in 2024. The young girl was killed, along with six other relatives, when Israeli soldiers reportedly opened fire at the group’s vehicle in Gaza. She initially survived the attack, answering an hours-long telephone call where she pleaded for help before her body was recovered days later. Israel’s Defence Force previously denied its troops were in the area at the time but in a recent statement confirmed the attacks. “Due to alleged failures in the co-ordination of the movement of the Palestine Red Crescent ambulance, it has been decided to initiate a criminal investigation of the incident by Military Police Criminal Investigation Division,” the IDF said.
