French riot footage sparks outrage over claims a store was spared because its owner was Muslim

NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck condemns speculation that the woman’s store was left untouched because of her religion. “There's some idea, there's some possibilities out there that based on what was being said, this woman appears to be Muslim, and so we should really leave her alone,” Mr Houck told News24 host Elizabeth Pipko. “The very fact that the question is being asked amidst all the rioting, that people are leaving this woman's store alone because, oh, she may be a fellow follower of Islam. is absolutely ludicrous. “It goes to show, as I pointed out earlier, what failed states these folks are.”
