Democratic Strategist Jim Kessler says Angie Nixon’s triumph in Florida’s Democratic primary will “definitely help” the Republicans. Ms Nixon, who is aligned with the Democratic Socialists of America, toppled Alex Vindman to win the nomination and will go head-to-head with Republican Ashley Moody in November. “The argument that Republicans are going to make in 2026 and 2028 is that the Democrats have become too extreme,” Mr Kessler told News24. “Also, African-American voters who make up a large part of the Democratic primary electorate who are very, very moderate.”
