‘Complete failure’ from Burnham government to control border

Institute of Public Affairs Director of Research Morgan Begg says the Burnham government is continuing on the same “trajectory” as the former Starmer government in the “failure” to control its borders. “This was the number one issue that brought down the Starmer premiership, was the failure of the British government to control its borders,” Mr Begg told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. “It’s extraordinary that Burnham has really just continued on the same trajectory. “We’re still seeing a complete failure to control the border.”
