China denies allegations Chinese AI firms targeted Anthropic’s Claude

China has rejected claims from Anthropic that its AI firms have targeted the company's software, Claude. The US company alleges Chinese firms are trying to extract and replicate its AI model. An Anthropic report alleges that Chinese tech giants Alibaba, DeepSeek and Xiaomi were behind some of the attacks, as Beijing calls the accusations a “smear” campaign.
