Prime Minister Anthony Albanese claims legislation that will base private health rebates for people based on their incomes, not their age, couldn’t be any fairer. “We have a very responsible measure now back before the budget after it was opposed in the Senate by the ‘Noalition,’” Mr Albanese said during Question Time on Thursday. “Whether someone is 64 or 65, they will receive the same private health rebate. What could be fairer than that? “Under our legislation … the system will be based on a person’s income, not their age.”
