‘Absolute hellhole’: Macron under fire for lying about the ‘horrible and shameful’ French riots

News24 host Samara Gill criticises the state of France’s streets and challenges the French president’s response. “I mean, it's over 80 million people that typically will visit France,” Ms Gill said. “I'm sure many people have been on X. They've been on any sort of news site and seen the carnage that is France's streets right now, and it's honestly horrible and shameful. “For Macron to come out only just a week ago saying, you know, those who are spreading disinformation about France hate France. That's just not the truth.”
