‘A scream for help’: 2024 memo warned of dangerous gaps in counter-terror capability

Former AFP Detective Superintendent David Craig reveals a 2024 warning about shortages in Australia’s counter-terrorism capabilities, raising questions over whether urgent calls for more resources were ignored. “They are literally passing the responsibility up, a scream out for help if you like, saying we need more assistance,” Mr Craig told News24 host Peta Credlin. “What happened with that report, I don’t know.”
