Algo templates give you pre-optimized TradingView algo settings for MES, ES, NQ and more, so you don't have to test millions of setting combinations yourself. If you've ever optimized a strategy on TradingView, you know the loop: move the profit target, move the stop, change the chart timeframe, repeat. Depending on the ticker and how many settings you have, that turns into millions of combinations, and it becomes a real nightmare. That's why we built the algo optimizer, and the algo templates go one step further. Every two weeks we run the optimizations internally across the New York and London sessions, across all 7 algos and every ticker in the catalog, and publish the number one ranked result on the templates page. Every template comes with a holdout validation: the settings are optimized on the training window, then run on out-of-sample data, so you can see whether they actually held up. In this video I pick the ORB template on MES (5-minute chart, New York session, April 23 to October 23), go through the profit, win rate, profit factor, number of trades, drawdown and strategy health, then copy the settings into TradingView with the edgeful Chrome extension. Instead of copying 30 or 40 settings by hand, it takes a couple of clicks, and the equity curve on my chart matches the template. Templates are a foundation to get started, not something you have to run out of the box. You can run one as is, or adjust the max losses, position size and anything else from there. Algo templates are part of the all access plan.
