They grew up as South Koreans — then found out they may not be citizens

They lived as Korean citizens. Some even completed military service. But families with ties to more than one country are discovering that their children may have unknowingly lost their Korean nationality after acquiring a second nationality. Some families say they were ordered to leave South Korea and repay benefits years later — despite being told they could keep both. At the heart of the issue is a little-known rule on dual nationality. South Korea's Justice Ministry is now seeking changes to the law, but affected families say the proposed measures do not go far enough. CNA's Senior Correspondent Lim Yun Suk reports.
